LISTENING SESSION INNER WISH

On Sunday 13/12 we were guests in Devasoundz Studios for the presentation of the new Inner wish album. The new work of veteran metallers has the name of the band and is the fifth album of the group and as always is of great quality. Recorded in Devasoundz Studios and Lo Ne studios by Fotis Bernardo and Thimios Krikos while mixing took place at Studio Fredman in Sweden by Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd, the mastering was made by Peter In De Vetou finally for the very good artwork responsible are Felipe Machado and Jan Yrlund. This album contains 13 tracks and it is obvious that Inner wish had in mind a more modern approach for their sound and music with modern elements choral and symphonic parts which will clearly give the needed strength to this album and definitely will gain audience even outside the traditional musical borders of the band. There are many tracks in this album and here  the key to this great release: It is never getting tiring since no song is of no need (no fillers here !) all have their place and their part to play. In the discussion we had with the guys we were informed that the band was based on new fresh ideas and synthesis took place between autumn 2014 and spring 2015.

The album opens with "Roll the dice". In set with the current developments in metal is a perfect opening for the album it’s intensive loud melodic with the appropriate  chorus. In "Broken" we can find choral parts while "Modern Babylon" simply wins the listener from the first hearing with an amazing chorus perhaps the highlight of the disc. In Machines of fear the tempo slows down while "Needles in my mind" gives in the beginning the impression of ballad but soon speed will invade... very melodic song. The tone does not change in" My world on fire" were  the choral parts play a great  part for a great musical result. The Serenity, Sins of the past, Through my eyes, Zero ground are well worked in harmony with the style and quality of the album. We will meet the ballad in the twelfth  track of the album, with very well arranged guitars under the name "Cross the line". The album closes with Tame the seven seas, with symphonic choral parts an ideal finale for a beautiful album.

In conclusion we can say that we heard a tremendously good album that will be a topic for discussion. It has what it takes to stand strong inside and outside of the borders showing the great progress that our scene has made throughout the years. We forgot something? Release date 18 March 2016 in cd but vinyl and cassette .
