Cradle Of Filth - Eleven Burial Masses

Cradle Of Filth - Eleven Burial Masses

\r\n“Eleven Burial Masses” is a live album of Cradle Of Filth, and which combines the first cd “Live Bait for the Dead” and the “Heavy, Left-Handed and Candid” DVD, both of which were recorded on 14 April 2001 in the Rock City of Nottingham. Consequently it covers the Cradle Of Filth’s discography up to “Midian”. The truth is, that I can’t comprehend the expediency of such a release in 2007, since substantially it’s a re-release of some of their older live material, as reported in the beginning. Continuing, “Eleven Burial Masses” includes eleven tracks of Cradle Of Filth, from which the four emanate from the “Midian” ("Cthulhu Dawn", "Lord Abortion", "Her Ghost in the Fog" and "Creatures that Kissed in Cold Mirrors"), three from the “The Principle of Evil Made Flesh” (title track, "The Forest Whispers My Name" and "Summer Dying Fast"), one of the EP “Vempire or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein” ("Ebony Dressed for Sunset"), one from the “Dusk and Her Embrace” (the homonym) and one of the “Cruelty and the Beast” (“Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids”), plus the intro “The Ceremony Opens”. The band’s output oscillates in high levels, while a particular accent should be given in Dani Filth’s vocals and in Paul Allender and Charles Hedger’s very good guitar work, as well as in Sarah Jezebel Deva’s back vocals.\r\n
