I am always happy to discover new bands especially when they come from a genre that, in my opinion is facing extinction due to its tendency to be sounding “evolving” and “Complicated” in order to be innovative. Sadly this had as a result to drift far from what it would label it as metal.
\r\nFurtunately there are bands like Silver Lake who seem to put things back in order with their self titled first album.

\r\nWhat can we really say about these musicians? What can we say about this feeling, about this
\r\nimagination and ideas that these guys have? Ok, so better to start speaking about the record
\r\nthan trying to believe what i heard. For those who do not know them, they are Ulcerate from
\r\nthe beautiful country-island of New Zealand. The band was formed in 2000 and they have
\r\nreleased 3 full lengths until now that their new album "The Destroyers of All" has come to the
\r\npublic.

It is weird the fact that i hear of Mistweaver for the first time, as they exist for many years,
\r\n(since 1997) and their first album was released in 2001. These guys are from Spain and as
\r\ni read in the discriptions they play melodic death metal but this is a little bit different when you listen to the album but let’s see what truly these guys do.
\r\n
\r\n"Tales from the Grave" is Mistweaver’s fourth release and it comes to the public after 5 years

\r\nNEW ALBUM FROM -DEADLOCK- \r\n

\r\n

\r\nAlthough there are several bands with the name - Deadlock- this specific band hails from Germany and plays  Melodic Death Metal with experimenting mood since 1997. They have released four full lengths so far and now they are back with another album full of new atmospheric and experimental ideas. \r\n

\r\nMagic Kingdom comes from Belgium and was formed on 1998; the band has two more studio albums so far and their lyrics refer to fantastic and supernatural concepts.
\r\nHalf of the band consists of Iron Mask members (Dushan Petrossi on guitars and Vassili Moltchanov on the bass), and Olaf Hayer who is known from the bands Dionysus, Luca Turilli and Symphonity) is on vocals. Well, obviously the Malmsteen-ish influences of the band have entered their DNA, so their music sounds like a thunder of guitaristic “bubbles”.

Amidst the recent bloom of the black/folk/pagan (f…g labels!) metal scene, mainly in Eastern and Central European countries, German newcomers Dyrathor come to give their little bit of contribution. “Sacred Walcraft Of Hel” is their first official release, preceded by their highly acclaimed and sold out demo “Memories In Frost”.

\r\nSometimes I get really pissed at bands that focus on their cool design merch, their haircuts, their multi-cloured tattoos and are nothing more than ignorants and lame posers that have nothing in common with the true spirit of extreme music. One becomes the replica of another and all the scene kids just follow. And now that I bitched like a bitch(!) I feel better, otherwise this review would be impossible.

\r\nThis is the worst thing that can happen to me when writing a review for a fresh starter. I hate being mean, especially when the band is new and is trying to establish a first step to the scene with a demo. I will, on the other hand, have to be honest and speak my mind without hiding behind soothing words.
