Ageless Oblivion - Temples of Transcendent Evolution

Ageless Oblivion - Temples of Transcendent Evolution

Ageless Oblivion is a new band as they formed in 2009 under the name "Arkane". After
\r\nthat, they changed the name to Ageless Oblivion, releasing now their debut album
\r\n"Temples of Transcendent Evolution" through Siege of Amida Records. The guys are
\r\nfrom United Kingdom and they play a mix of a technical and progressive death metal.
\r\n
\r\nI agree that the scene nowdays needs different opinions so it can be kept alive and
\r\nprogress itself through new bands. I think that in the case of Ageless Oblivion we
\r\nhave these fresh ideas or mixtures if you prefer, offering to the scene something
\r\nthat might not be the piece of art that will bring the surprise or the change but
\r\nwill keep the scene from rotting as i said. Great production and accurate playing.
\r\nExactly what this genre demands. I did not expect something less from Chris Fielding
\r\n(he mixed Napalm Death and Electric Wizard in the past) and Tim Turan (mastered
\r\nOpeth in the past). Just a heavy as hell production. I heared different styles in
\r\nthere. Some slow death metal riffs mixed up with brutal high speed performance while
\r\na few crawling ala Neurosis stuff rots the final result. I think this is their
\r\nstrongest part. Fantasy and ideas.
\r\n
\r\nWhile modern brutal death metal bands try hard to improve the genre, we have guys
\r\nlike Ageless Oblivion with strucks from nowhere just to remind us to not forget to
\r\nsearch for the underground, not famous bands and their music. Give it a try...
