Akercocke - Antichrist

Akercocke - Antichrist

\r\nExtreme, morbid, blasphemous, insane. This is what Akercocke always were, a fairly particular U.K.-based\r\nband that it’s foundation lays upon the image along with featuring albums-masterpieces,\r\na fact that definitely makes all that image thing an unnecessary issue. In their\r\nnew release, simply titled Antichrist, absolutely nothing has changed, only\r\nwith the exception of a not so polished production, (concerning\r\ntheir previous album). Grind\r\n/ Death Metal is wedded in the unique way that only\r\nAkercocke know how, with\r\nthe Black Metal mentality while are not absent also\r\ncertain passages that\r\nremind us of eastern situations. The compositions are once more\r\nextreme, with the raging\r\n– chaotic passages having the first word, speed retards only in a few moments, and\r\nwhen that happens, the result is a lunatic atmosphere thanks to the acoustic\r\nparts and the clean vocals that yet stick into the mind and surround it for\r\nmany hours after it’s hearing. Melodies or just a melodic point the way we have\r\nbeen used to it, there is none whilst the brutality it is honored above all\r\nthings. Despite all these, Antichrist contains\r\na lot of moments that could develop into something more melodic but the band\r\nprefers to leaves us with the flavour of the unfulfilled and to offer us moments\r\nof endless brutality. I consider that the extensive use of words get tiring as well for a release like this and for a band like Akercocke since\r\nthe fans know very well what to expect and what they are going to listen to\r\ncause here we’re confronting with something very special and unique that is\r\naddressed in limited number of fans. Akercocke in this effort once more they\r\nhave put all of their inspiration and the result is a technical / extreme / blasphemous\r\nalbum that will acquire a notable place in the heart of all those who are dealing\r\nwith the group.\r\n
