Alkoholizer - Drunk or Dead

\r\nFor the Italian thrashers - Alkoholizer - theres no newschool or oldschool.Theres only one way to thrash and this is the 80’s way.Their debute album is now available via Punishment 18 Records and the worldwide Thrash society is going to love this band. \r\n

\r\n

\r\nTheir first album is called - Drunk or Dead - and its a great Thrash album that reminds the early 80’s and especially -Slayer-. Theres no doubt that this band loves playing music inspired by bands such as:Slayer, Tankard, Exodus, Destruction, Sodom and other Thrash fathers of the 80’s.Great Thrash riffs, nice leads, fast bass and great Thrash drumming.The voice is also great and remind me a lot of mr Araya ,specially at the scream at the first song that is like the classical Araya scream from the -Angel of Death- song.The production is good and the cover of the album is also nice and shows the band trapped inside a sallon and a pig-cop outside ,looking for them. \r\n

\r\n

\r\n-Alkoholizer- are getting into the Thrash business with a perfect album. They may be judged bad for copying Slayer or Tankard (for the alcoholic lyrics) but my opinion is that they just want to play the music they like and we are very thankfull that this music remind us big bands.This means that they have the recipe and they are ready to follow the steps of their favorite bands. Italy is giving us one of the best Thrash releases for 2009!! \r\n
