Anathema - We're Here Because We're Here

Anathema - We're Here Because We're Here

\r\nApparently, Anathema have left their past behind for good. If you haven’t been able to “understand” them so far, I don ’t think that the album “We’re Here Because We’re Here“ is a chance to do it now.
\r\nHow many images can music create in one’s mind? How many thoughts, how many emotions can a few words provoke? Their psychedelic sound is like a journey. I focus on the lyrics and their elegant structure. “You are just a whisper away..” anything and anyone could be there, so “close” to zero any distance. The sense of tranquility is unalterable during the songs as if emotions can not affect them. It’s "trapped", in a way, in their mesmerizing atmosphere. The trippy quests of Anathema imply lots of Pink Floyd effects: their dark poetry and music appeal to you, instead of scaring you or pushing you away. They challenge you to explore them. Their intention is clear: they want to create atmosphere and put you in it. This seems to be the goal of their music.
\r\nSteven Wilson ’s exceptional work on the mixing, is very precious as it takes the songs to another dimension.. \r\n
