Condemned? - Condemned2death

Here’s another album that has nothing to do with the genre is labeled under. Nuclear Blast promotes this as a Thrash metal album but things are quite different concerning Condemned? They are a crossover band with obvious punk tendencies and if you miss the good old days when you were banging to the sound of “The Exploited” and “D.R.I.” then “Condemned 2 death” is just the right thing for you. The Americans Condemned? Are not a new act, they serve the scene since 1983 under the name of Condemned2Death and perhaps this explains their obsession with an “outdated” genre. The album’s not bad at all but besides the endless headbanging I don’t think it has something more to offer. The songs could be described as typical Hardcore/punk with a touch of primitive Thrash metal which makes it ideal for moshpit but as a release is not that exciting to my ears.
\r\nSo if you like “The Exploited” and “D.R.I.” and you dig early “Sodom” you can find a substitute in “Condemned?” On the other hand, why don’t you put on D.R.I.’s “Thrash Zone”? It’s a certified ass-kicker anyway!
