Coronatus - Porta Obscura

Coronatus is a German outfit and they sound close to the music we call “gothic metal”, with female vocals and very impressive keyboards. Of course these are the common characteristics for a band that moves into gothic metal, but these guys from Germany owns also some other good features as well. I ve been impressed by some great riffing and small leads, as well as the great atmosphere that their second album “Porta Obsura” put me through!
\r\nVery good production I could say, with some very good ideas and not so common song writing for this specific genre. At last I d like to state that I really enjoyed the female duet on the vocals. Carmen R.Schäfe and Ada Flechtner keep on sharing the vocals throughout the whole album and in between we can also hear some German vocals.
\r\nI do believe that this is a good choice to invest your money and time, if you are into this type of music.
