Darkseed - Poison Awaits

Darkseed - Poison Awaits

\r\nTheir various music influences (Dead Can Dance, In Flames, Dream Theater, Slayer, Rammstein are the bands more often mentioned by the band itself) and their open minded point of view has led the band to today’s music profile; the more I discover things about it, the more I appreciate it and it appeals to me.
\r\nIn the past they stated that, even though Gothic Metal is not a kind of music to get excited by listening to it, they want to the rock the scene and the fans. Time will tell if they will achieve their goal and to what degree. For now, one thing is for sure: time must be only a positive influence to them.
\r\nWhen they get atmospheric it feels like putting a spell on you, by leading you to the cold, melancholic mood of their songs; the industrial parts make the adrenaline flow and the electro melodies are totally stimulating. When a band is so much influenced by the gods PARADISE LOST, as well as by all the bands mentioned before, it has no other choice than “shining”, even though, throughout the years, they have only managed to get away from the darkness of the “underground”.
\r\nJust turn off the lights and let Darkseed lead you to their sweet melancholy and its beauty.
\r\n“I can barely conceive of a type of beauty in which there is no Melancholy” (Charles Baudelaire, eng.vs) \r\n
