Evergrey - Glorious Collision

\r\nThe album “TORN” was an exceptional piece of work that put EVERGREY to a very high level. Even those who were skeptical, begun reconsidering after this release.
\r\nThe pass of time brought various changes which are implied in the songs. If you are a fan of EVERGREY from the debut album you can easily spot out these variations in each album. From my point of view this is exactly what makes every album release so interesting, as the band always moves forward, despite the difficulties. This is what they did now as well, as only the 2/5 of the band is still in the line-up.
\r\nWhat definitely stands out in “Glorious Collision” is Tom Englund’s performance; deeply emotional, sad, sometimes heart-breaking, sometimes exaggerative, but always absolutely expressive and imposing. It’s the warmth of his voice, the desperation and the blackened mood of his lyrics, the loss and the unreachable that they imply, the longing and the pain that the songs breathe, which speak straight to your soul.
\r\nThe compositions are more diverse and simplified compared to the previous album; the characteristic sharp guitars and the beautiful melodies on the keyboards design a totally dark, blur and melancholic scenery.
\r\n“Glorious Collision” has many unexplored fields that call you to discover them. If you give it time and space it will become a nest for you; it will become a part of yourself.
\r\nWhen reality becomes unfriendly, EVERGREY create their own One. They create my reality and yours.
\r\nIt’s your dark hour, the shadowed and cold corner of your mind, the demons that still haunt you at nights, your morbid fears, your emotional breakdown.
\r\nIt’s just EVERGREY..\r\n
