Foscor - Groans to the Guilty

The third album of the Spanish black metal outfit Foscor has been already released via “Temple of Darkness Records” and I am sure that this release won’t pass unnoticed especially from the black metal fans for some reasons.
\r\nFirst of all the tracks are wise composed with some melodic passages a fact that do not affect the up tempo playing and the harshness of the album. Blastbeats are diffused on the album while the freezing chords of the old school black metal scene is the main reason that made this album special to my ears.
\r\nIn specific parts, Foscor sounds so close to old school black metal that reminded me something of Mayhem, Emperor, Satyricon, Enslaved etc, a fact that is not necessarily good, or bad. Morever very good impression gave me the clean vocals that exist in medium amounts on the album.
\r\nAlthough I am a black metal fan, especially of the 90’s and probably less of the present scene I dare to admit that I really enjoyed the album, perhaps the fans of black metal will enjoy this in larger amounts.
