Implosion - Lucidity In Quietus

Implosion - Lucidity In Quietus

When a prog / power band from Thessaloniki managed to have an album guest like the former bassist of "Pain Of Salvation", Kristoffer Gildenlöw, then this itself is a trigger to listen to the album. So open the drive, put the cd inside, and wait for the music to start playing while you are looking at the booklet.

The artwork is by Bilias. Dark, gray gives out the feeling that is in music. While the cover is tricking your eyes, and the back is as it should be, I believe that the lyrics font size bigger. Beside that are significant Greeks able to create a high-level artwork. And while we have seen the artwork slowly begin the first notes of "Anguish in me" and understand why Kristoffer Gildenlöw decided to participate, even for a bass solo.

The "Lucidity In Quietus", is a robust prog / power album with interesting music to listen to, and faithful to the school of prog monsters teachers, such as Pain Of Salvation, Symphony X, Nevermore, Fates Warning and Gods Shadow Gallery. The vocals of Tassos Korkovelou that I liked very much, not only for his performance, but also for his English accent. Pure US accent, and if I did not know that they were Greeks, probably I would have belived that they are from the States. The compositions are like the little kid in the park ... it never stays in one place. We have many wonderful musical variations, without excesses, but I think this is an album you must listened to it a lot of times in order to catch everyting.

The production and mixing were made in the band’s studio by Tasos Korkovelo while the mastering in Finland. Tthrough my 5.1 speakers comes as pure as crystal. Personally, I wish for the best to my townsmen Implosion.
