\r\nNo doubt, Lou Gramm is an important persona and so is his work and contribution in the scene throughout the years. The voice that keeps us company up to date through the songs of the multi-platinum FOREIGNER, where he was lead vocalist and co-composer. Regarding his successful music career, just check out the numbers: 8 singles on the Top 5 of Billboard Hot 100 Chart and 5 albums on the Billboard Top 5 albums chart. Apart from the statitistics, though, what worth the most is the fact that three decades after the band was born, it’s still considered to be between the most important ones in the Rock ’N’ Roll history.
\r\nWith Ben and Richard (Lou’s brothers) on drums and on bass and Andy Knoll on keyboards and Don Mancuso on guitars, Lou Gramm returns with “Lou Gramm Band” and their self-titled album that is to be released via Frontiers on the 5th of June. Even though Lou claims that there‘s a religious concept behind the lyrics, the record company and the promotion focus on his career and contribution in music so far instead. Vibes from the Rock scene of the 80’s, classical and pure Rock in other words, without experimentation, certainly do not compose the album that might lead the scene to the next steps, on the other hand it would be an exaggeration to have such an expectation from artists that have been around for ages and have proved their uniqueness already. Especially now, that it’s a chill –out season, this album might keep you a good company. \r\n
