METHUSALEM - Unite And Conquer

Observing the fantastic cover artwork, picturing a soldier walking away from a shallow grave and the title of the album “Unite and Conquer” my first thought was that I would probably listen to some Bolt Thrower related band, but I was wrong. Methusalem are delivering classic Heavy Metal. By referring to it as “Classic” I mean Heavy Metal that bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and other “Gods of the old” used to play and passed on to the new generation.
\r\nAs far as the songs are concerned, well, feelings are kinda mixed, I wouldn’t say that I was amazed by what I listened to but on the other hand they weren’t uninteresting either and this I think is due to the fact that I found many stimulating parts in their compositions which in the whole reminded me of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest (especially when soloing) and even King Diamond in songs like “Forever”. Another “Plus” to the albums is the fact that the songs range from pure Hard Rock to Heavy/Power metal while there are some really beautiful ballads like “Brothers In Arms” something that makes the album even more interesting and not at all boring.
\r\nWell, without being the release that would turn your world upside down, “Unite and Conquer” is a very decent Heavy Metal album that will keep you good company and I am sure that the friends of the genre will enjoy. Check them out!
