Pelican - What We All Come To Need

Pelican - What We All Come To Need

\r\nThe truth is that an instrumental album is a pretty risky choice; the compositions must be very powerful so to avoid getting bored in the middle of the cd.
\r\nPELICAN obviously can do this just fine. Their new album is so full  of ideas and inspiration, that you won’t even notice that there are no vocals. In case someone of you is not familiar with the band, well, PELICAN combine many elements from various metal related music genres; stoner, heavy rock, even post metal and post hardcore and so on and so forth. Add some trippy atmosphere and psychedelic passages mostly on the rhythm section and you ‘ll get the point. Brilliant! The melodies, the bass lines. the changes, the tracks’ … everything is structured in such a clever way! Honestly I couldn’t believe how quickly the time went by!
\r\nGuest musicians of the new album are: Ben Verellen, bass on “Glimmer”, Greg Anderson, guitar on “The Creeper”, Aaron Tumip guitar on “What We All Come To Need”, and a big surpsise, Allen Epley on “Final Breath”, the one and only song that has vocals. \r\n
