Persona - Metamorphosis

My day today begun with something different, I listened to the new Persona's album and this is definetely a reason to make it special. This is the second effort from the Tunisian band, and if you have checked out the debut album you can see many differences compared with it.It's name was Elusive Reflections.

First of all, I think Jelena's vocals, except from the sweetness that characterizes them, have become darker and show us her another "face". It's something that I wouldn't expect from her, but surprised me in a good way.
Natural clean voice has the most personality, as she says. The album starts with the first growls and a massive riff, showing us the intension for something new in their music.I believe The Prologue - The Initiation appears to be a normally played song by them, until we move on to the next one, The Omen Of Downfall. You can here more growls, and the piano is more decisive. What is so special about it, is that changes rhythms, and from a progressive song slowly turns το more power metal.The Esurience Guilefulness Omnipotence is the best in the tracklist for headbanging. What we have here, is fantastic guitar solos by Melik Melek Khelifa, and the mostly aggressive drumming by Youssef Aouadi. 

Why not for some soft stuff, I am talking about Armour Of Thorns and Netherlight, with great choruses both of them, but Netherlight sounds like a more powerful ballad.What I have heard so far, is that songs change styles again and again, and this is something interesting.
One of the songs that caught my attention, a little bit more than others is Invidia. With quicker tempo, the guitar spiting flames, maybe the best riff of the album lives inside this. What makes me happier, is that many times I can clearly hear the keaboards roaming inside the melodies. It is good for the instruments not to get vanished inside the music, like bass for example. This is the only disadvantage in my opinion, from the new album. Fortunately in live shows you can sense it more, so even this little problem will be eliminated for them.  

It is time for you to broaden your music horizons, so get this album and focus on its music. It's a very special choice, for those who search more, to find the ideal sound to please their ears. The album was released on fifteen of September, on digital format. I hope you like it..
