Prodigal Earth - Zenith II Zero

In their MySpace page at the influences section you can read ‘’ IRON MAIDEN, IRON MAIDEN, IRON MAIDEN, OZZY, CRIMSON GLORY, METALLICA, IRON MAIDEN, IRON MAIDEN, WARLORD.... ‘’ Adding a little more Maiden and removing Metallica from the list, i think they made their point. It’s clear what you going to hear from Prodigal. And to be honest it’s not bad. Fans of classic sound of heavy metal with an epic touch you’ll enjoy the album. Nice voice (although the accent needs improvement), nice guitars and melodies and some epic rhythms here and there, completes the picture. Helloween, Angra and Crimson Glory and -did they mentioned it? –Maiden are mainly the sounds that haunted their studio during the recordings. They might have a great future but they need hard work (to make their unique sound) and only time will tell. Until then you can listen a music sample at their MySpace and decide if you buy them. Recommended for fans of Heavy power releases who loves the classic heavy metal sound of the 80’s. However don’t get confused, this is not a cult- nostalgic release. The Sound is pretty fresh and the production at good standards. For me the best track is by far ‘’Will To Live’’. Nickolas voice in near perfection in this one. The atmosphere is great and in the end the guitar melodies near excellence!
