Queensryche - Dedicated to chaos

\r\nNever say never, alright, yet sadly I think that there’s no light in the dark for Queensrÿche anymore.
\r\nJust a few weeks before the release of “Dedicated to Chaos”, Tate informed the media about the style of the album; according to his statements, it would sound like “Empire”. Taking under consideration his statements on previous albums, I didn’t get excited, however I wasn’t pessimistic either. Unfortunately, these very utopic statements were far away from reality and the album is a big disappointment.
\r\nThe fact that “Dedicated to Chaos” is not a Metal album doesn’t bother me that much, I mean some open-minded people might consider this as a progress for the band; after all music is a way to express oneself and it shouldn’t have boundaries or labels. What bothers me, though, is that “Dedicated to Chaos” is a vapid, boring and shallow album that I hardly managed to listen till the end.
\r\nIt saddens me and it aggravates me; until the release of “American Soldier” I would still see things from a “romantic” point of view so I could not “condemn” one of my fav bands neither could I admit that the QR story is over and they should at least try to maintain the legend of the past years by disbanding and stop offend their fans and the whole support they had from them throughout the years. After listening to their new album, I think that their music totally lacks inspiration and they only take advantage of their fame, destroying all the beautiful past memories. Instead of being gentle in the name of their legend and our love for them, they should get the message somehow and realize that they absolutely push all of their fans away with every new album during the last years.In the worst case, like a friend says, asking someone else to write their songs might be a good option. \r\n

\r\nI have only listened to “Dedicated to Chaos” twice before writing this review. I just couldn’t stand listening to it more though.   \r\n
