Realmbuilder - Summon the Stone Throwers

A couple of days ago I received this promo cd of this fresh US based outfit, Realmbuilder and their debut album “Summon The Stone Throwers”. Maybe some of you, you might already be familiar to the band since the album has originally released in 2009 but only on vinyl, and this month the CD version saw the light of day.
\r\nTheir sound moves into the classic heavy metal forms with many epic elements, a sound that reminds me of the Italian giants Dark Quarterer while in some other specific parts Realmbuilber reminds me some of the slowest parts of Doomsword. Another element of their sound is that despite the fact that this is not doom metal , due to their mid tempo structure of the tracks sounds close to the doom metal genre, especially the vocals tend to be doom metal vocals.
\r\nIn General the whole album is full of mid tempo riffing, with many epic aesthetics that will sound “strange” to some of the auditors especially those that are fans of the most ‘mainstream” sound, on the contrary the fans of the “underground scene” will find this album interesting.
\r\nI have to admit that the first time I listened to the album “Summon The Stone Throwers” didn’t get my attention, but after a couple of times I realized that there is some good music in there that made me to really enjoy this one.
