Resurgency - Dark Revival

Resurgency’s members come from old bands of the greek scene(Stagnate, Collateral Damage, and more) and they surely know how to produce death metal in the vein of the genre’s forefathers did. This EP is their very first creation and it instantly shows the band’s love for 90’s death metal.

\r\n Ultra heavy riffing, old school-ish and with the right sense of sick melody(not the one you think of dear Gayteborg lover). This is the right death metal feeling, lacking no aggression or sickness. You will not re-discover the wheel but these dudes really play with love for the genre. I am not sure if there are any different words to describe this cd, at least not different than what you’ve read again and again regarding this music but in my humble opinion such are not needed when the music speaks for itself. Influences are drawn from the entire spectrum, from Sinister to Benediction of the Transcend the Rubicon era. Resurgency know what oldschool is! No technical masturbation, no shredding bull, just brutality and beers!

\r\n The sound is simply excellent, heavy and sharp. The vocals come from a T-rex and Vaggelis’ drumming kicks ass! Be sure to check them out if you dig music coming from the heart of a swamp. For romantics and those who want their meat raw. I’m eagerly waiting for a full length!\r\n
