For those who dont we are talking about one of the first Industrial Rock Metal bands that were formed back in the 80’s in the U.S.The main brain of the band , mr. Al Jourgensen, very known musician and producer, after releasing eleven albums with Ministry decided that it was time to stop and work with his other side-projects that he has.One of the oldest side-project band that he made with other members of Ministry and Richard 23 from Front 242 is the Industrial/Rock band -Revolting Cocks -.This side project has released already four full length albums and after many changes to the line-up , they are now back with their fifth work, called - Sexo Olympico-. \r\n
\r\nThe album is a mix of Industrial/Rock with many SynthPop passages and many guitaristic ideas.The guitars are in full Hard Rock mood in industrial sounds and blues leads everywhere, the bass is thick and heavy and there are many keyboards and samples in the songs.Mr. Jourgensen stayed in the back vocals and the main vocal parts were done by mr.Josh Bradford that gave his best with great singing.The production is perfect and the same goes for the olsdschool cover that shows a pin-up girl and some old wrestlers in the background.\r\n \r\n
\r\nThe truth is that Revolting Cocks are lighter than Ministry and thats very difficult for a metalhead.There are many Pop influences and a lot of clear Pop voices that will make a metalhead stay away.But for fans of Alternative sounds, keyboard and samples fanatics, synthpop freaks and Hard Rock guitar addicts , Revolting Cocks are going to be your next favorite band.
