The Sleeping - What It Takes

\r\nWell, this is definitely a "perplexing" case. “What it takes” is the third album of the band and it contains almost anything one could think of! The musical orientation of the album is basically post hardcore, but it also contains various elements such as melodic vocals, angry outbursts and growls, even piano and jazz spots, which make the songs really special.
\r\nIn general, there are pretty nice ideas and interesting compositions on this cd. No doubt, it can’t be easily categorized as it is a mixture of elements coming from many music scenes. In fact, on some spots there’s much more a modern/alternative approach rather than post hardcore or anything like that. This alone can be a good reason to appeal to a bigger audience actually.\r\n
