The Spindle Sect - Is Your Planet Safe?

\r\nSpindle\r\nSect belong to that kind of bands that seem to be something else than they\r\nreally are. I am actually talking about the record cover, that seemed to be a\r\nprogressive metal one, or maybe an experimental-core one. I think that this is\r\nwhat they had in mind but the core elements are much fewer than the rock and\r\nrap metal ones. What came in mind when listening to “Is Your Planet Safe?” was\r\nmodern metal and nu metal in the vein of Ill Nino with some System of a Down\r\nelements, apparently influenced by Rage Against The Machine, but where is the\r\naggression? I don’t think that I am the right one to review this, but since I\r\ncan find some Ministry, Nine Inch Nails and Manson influences here I just give\r\nit a try. The guitars are weak in my opinion, the electro parts cover it all up\r\nand the vocals lack in aggression. Too much hip hop groove that it crosses the\r\nline between true rock and (c)rap…I suggest that they should focus on their\r\nwilder side and create something grovvy but heavy as well.\r\n
