Tears - Memories of things unnecessary

Tears - Memories of things unnecessary

\r\nDefinitely, one of the most charming things in progressive metal is that you never know what to expect. Tears, wouldn’t break the rule; “Memories of things unnecessary”, consists of three parts (two, actually, as the first two songs are radio editions) and each one is a unit in the EP, which is not connected to the other musically. The mastermind of this effort is Gouaime Divanis.
\r\nMore specifically: the first two songs, as I said above, are the radio versions of “Time Master” and “Things Imaginary” that follow, which also consist of two parts each: “Memories” and “I Just Want To Forget”, “A Childhood Dream” and “A Hurtful Reality”. The last part of the EP consists of three instrumental compositions, which all together are an extensive, experimental composition, with many variations and changes; dark atmosphere is the main element –mainly on track 07- as well as the electro passages, which give really strong vibes.
\r\nThe EP as a total could be described as a combination of ideas and influences coming from Pain of Salvation and Anathema; listening to each part separately shows that the music of Tears has many and different sides. Whether this plays an important role in the cohesion of the EP or not, depends on each one’s personal point of view. For the time being, I think that a full length album would help us have a more clear aspect. \r\n
