\r\nAnd here we have another chapter in our Viking metal era. I love epic tunes! From Bathory, Enslaved, Primordial, Amon Amarth to Manowar, Grave Digger and Hammerfall, a nice epic tune makes my day. If you are not familiar with the sound of TYR i ‘d name them ‘’Drunk Viking Metal’’ band! Their tunes are ok. Nice memorable melodies and the appropriate lyrics are non- negotiable matter here!
\r\nThe problem with them is that all the epicness they want to deliver is drowned by happy little ‘’hellonowished’’ guitars. They are too fucking happy. I would prefer this music darker.
\r\nBut that’s my personal taste. That is the bands style and they way they want to present their music. ‘’By the light of the Northern star’’ it’s a pretty safe heavy metal album and you won’t regret it. Folk meets Heavy meets Viking metal.\r\n
