Witchcurse - Demon's Warning

Witchcurse - Demon's Warning

The NWOBHM outfit from Thessalonica Greece, under the name Witchcurse released a couple of weeks before some new material. The new release by this unique NWOBHM band from Greece is entitled “Demon’s Warning” and it’s a tape ep!!! Well, the tape reached me some days ago and by it’s listening I felt deeply satisfied with this rough aesthetic combined with the classic NWOBHM melodies that are recognizable throughout the whole EP that features four original tracks and a cover version to NWOBHM band Satanic Rites’ “Hit And Run”.
\r\nThe production is a little bit harsh, and I strongly believe that this is the way to be a production for such type of music; Possessed’s bass lines are “up” in the mix so they manage to boost the sound and produce some really nice melodic lines by Stinky / Necro (guitars). At that point I d like to state that this tape E.P, released through the Portuguese label HEREGE WARFARE PRODUCTIONS, only on Tape and it’s limited and hand – numbered to 500 copies only (well this is cult…!!!)
\r\nDiving deeper into the music of Witchcurse do not expect something different than classic NWOBHM with a rough attitude, melodies, rough vocals and  lots of Ale. As for the cover song is really a very good cover, with rougher sound than the original but for sure the guys respected the original track.
\r\nWell… you just got a great opportunity to get a NWOBHM release in 2009, with well structured and well executed music and on such a cult format…if you dig, visit the guys myspace site.
