Pimps Are Calling Us Lazy!

As Greeks we ought it to ourselves to put a stop in the assumption the rest of Europe has about us that we are all lazy, we produce nothing, we sit around waiting to be fed by our fellow Europeans.

\r\nGreece is a blessed country with fertile grounds, great mineral wealth, sun and sea
\r\n
\r\nAgricultural growth has been “suffocated” ever since we joined the European Union since there is a production limit assorted by the EU, resulting to the decay of one of the most important production fields of the country, since growing products is no longer profitable.
\r\n
\r\nWe are not “allowed” to exploit our mineral deposits. Recently published researches have proved that the mineral deposits can be found in several areas of the country, and not just the grey areas, which can be exploited to fund the country. As always Greek politicians were astonished by the revelation as they had no idea of the particular fact! What a surprise!  
\r\nOur country is a member of NATO which means that the borders of the country as well as it’s defense is protected by NATO as every member is and should there by some sort of threat it will be protected by it.

\r\nWhat’s even more ridiculous is that the threat we face is by a fellow NATO country, Turkey, which is by definition impossible as the NATO legislation clearly states that NATO countries can’t have expansionary policy towards a fellow NATO country. Again Greek politicians have done nothing to finish once and for all the particular matter between Greece and Turkey within the NATO allegiance by addressing the subject to our fellow European Countries.

\r\nInstead of working diplomatically all governments prefer playing hide and seek over the Aegean with the Turks. Playing chase daily which costs unconceivable amounts of money covered by taxes. A fighter plane in flight costs somewhere between 10.000 to 20.000 euro in fuel per hour. You can imagine how many hours they spend monthly to chase the Turkish fighter planes back to Turkey after they invade Greece’s airspace.

\r\nFor Example according to the figures of the General Air force Office within the years 2000-2008 the total flight cost of fuel alone was το 416,3 million euro!!!!!

\r\nIn order to maintain more fire arms than Turkey we constantly buy fighting gear of millions of euro which will be out of date by the time we liquidate them. At that time new technologies will have been introduced and it goes on and on all over again. And all this insane expenditure of money is going on while we are a NATO country as well as Turkey and we are bonded by NATO not to fight against each other.

\r\nAs for our fellow Europeans, who blame us for being lazy and extravagant, who not only act unaware of our situation with the Turks they also sell guns worth millions of euro using double rate. Their loans have a rate of 3% while they lend Greece with a rate of 6%-8%.

\r\nIn other words they make money based on the lazy Greeks not to mention all other products such as cars, electronic devices etc. Greeks have “pimps” who blame them for not being workaholic enough! We pay them, up to a point we make them good money and they blame us for being lazy!

\r\nEspecially about Germany, apart from the fact we never got the refunds for the destruction caused by the German troops during World War 2 as all other European countries did recently we found out about an obligatory loan forced by the Third Reich on Greece for which we don’t know how much money have been paid and whether or not we are still paying for…
\r\nImagine not having to put up with all the above and being able to exploit the mineral funds of our country….

\r\nGreece could be a strong country due to its strategic geological position, with a solid economy, independent and respected by the rest of Europe. But all these could have been if we were governed by the appropriate politicians and not the “clerks” we vote for every four years.

\r\nThese facts are probably known around Europe and probably the reason why they try to to keep Greece from becoming a strong individual country, as apart from it’s spot on the globe it also holds history well in depth of time. All these years we have been respected for our cultural legacy, if the other aspects were to occur they would feel worthless towards the Greeks. \r\n
