Carpe Diem @ Harley Bar, Thessaloniki

\r\nIt’s evening and I am inside Harley Bar, which is full of friends and\r\nacquaintances while some\r\nof them came laterwere slower. All three bands played both their songs\r\nand some covers. The sound was good and the youngsters did their best\r\non stage to make the audience have a nice time, however they didn’t\r\nparticipate that much. Some of them moved their heads back and forth,\r\nbut most\r\nof them didn’t leave their positions, so the space in front of the\r\nstage remained empty. It was the first time I audienced a metal concert\r\nand the audience itself remained in place! The question about that\r\nstill remains, but\r\nlet’s go the point of the article!

\r\nThe show started with Blackened Wind on stage. Once again the heavy /\r\npower influenced youngsters with female vocals had a great performace,\r\nwhile maintaining their known style.\r\nAnna had a very good performance on vocals once again plus the rest of\r\nband was absolute great! Blackened Wind have arrived at their first\r\nthreshold. From now on, the have to add things in order to offer\r\nsomething new. Any\r\nadditions to their tracklist, some add ons to the stage\r\npresence, generally anything new.

\r\n
\r\nIt was Erratic Escape’s time, who gave their last appearance with\r\nStefanos on vocals and guitar. Their setlist was composed by their\r\nsongs and covers also. Very strong on stage, while Stefanos sang like\r\nhe was Pantera vocalist, adding a thrashy tone to the heavy tunes. Also\r\ntheir stage presence is very impressive, at some\r\npoint Stefanos came to the edge of stage, like he was asking from the\r\ncrowd to come forth. The remaining members had a similar dynamic,\r\nthe bassist and the guitarist were singing while being in a frenzy\r\nmood. Despite some errors finally they got a pace. Finally the audience\r\nhad a really a great time while they were playing the cover songs.

\r\nAnd finally, Carpe Diem, the oldest and most experienced band had\r\nits time. Vocalist Nena was getting on and off the stage according\r\nto the song, while their total performance was absolutely great.\r\nThe frontman reminded of me Hetfield, with similar faces, vocals, body\r\nmotion and solos. A solid band that playd really strong determined for\r\nthe best. The left handed drummer is inversely proportional good to his\r\nheight, and the bassist has revealed that he has managed to create\r\na special bond to his bass veryfing that an instrument can be our arm\r\nextension. Unfortunately there were some sound issues and the solos\r\nwere hardly heard while Nena’s the high pitched vocals were noisily\r\nsounded. From their compositions everybody can understand that they\r\nhave a deep love for Metallica, and the crowd really liked that. They\r\nstarted with an instrumental\r\nmedley of several well-known tracks including the Are You Gonna Go My\r\nWay (of Lenny Kravitz) Smells Like Teen Spirit, Seven Nation Army, and\r\nBeat It.
