Cavus - Fester And Putrefy

\r\nCavus come from Finland and they play traditional blasphemous black metal.
\r\nThey were formed in the year 2008. Fester And Putrefy is their very first album,
\r\nafter the self-titled e.p they released(2009).
\r\n
\r\nIt took me several times to listen to this album and in the end i liked it.
\r\nMany good parts along with great traditional sound on guitars.
\r\nBut what I liked the most was the sound on the bass. Devastating sound that we don’t
\r\nusually hear in this music. And the vocals are great. Their vocalist just worked
\r\nwell on his patterns. As for the music now, I heared some traditional old
\r\nschool black metal, along with some slower, heavier modern ideas that filled the
\r\nfinal result with gracefulness. Quality is lost nowadays, in the sea of all these bands
\r\ncoming out to play some black metal.  
\r\nThankfully no such thing happened this time with Fester And Putrefy. Aggressive parts and
\r\nslower blackened riffs, not some poser techniques, just raw, perpetual black metal.

\r\nYou won’t find something new here. But the songs are great.
\r\nThis music is already played many times but the bands that do it well are so few.
\r\nCavus with their first attack did it great. A very good production, a special essence,
\r\nand many great riffs is all you need to have a good old school black metal album.
\r\n..and this is what Cavus gave to us.
\r\nI think we can expect great albums from them in the future if they continue in this
\r\nmood.\r\n
