Darkwater - Where Stories End

\r\nDarkwater is a band that comes from Sweden and this is the successor of the very successful debut album of theirs, “Calling the Earth to Witness”, whic was released about three years ago.
\r\nThey are much influenced by bands such as Dream Theater, Fates Warning, Symphony X, but the structure of their songs is also based on the music patters of Evergrey, Pagan’s Mind, Angeldust, Avian. There is an strong dark mood and lots of hooking melodies in the songs, something that makes the album pretty appealing and easy-listening, even if you are not a fan of this music genre. Beyond the strange changes and the complexity of the compositions, what is really impressive is the stimulating guitars, as well as Henrik Bεth’s passionate vocals. Furthermore, the production emphasizes where needed, so the result is merely stunning.
\r\nI think that Darkwater is a revelation for the Progressive Power Metal scene and the future belongs to them. \r\n
