Elis - Catharsis

Elis - Catharsis

\r\nIf you haven’t heard of ELIS before, here’s your chance. Sabine Duenser’s fairy-like voice has marked the band’s history, no doubt about that. Unfortunately, she left very soon…
\r\nComparing the two voices, Sabine’s and Sandra Schleret’s, would be silly; both of them are beautiful and special. So, let’s focus on the present of the band and leave this sad part of their history behind. Their music profile nowadays is the most appropriate for the fans of this genre. Their music is dark and atmospheric, but the heavy riffs and the melodies play the main role, while the baritone vocals darken the picture even more. In other words, they perfectly combine their Goth aesthetics with the modern heavy style and they have all these elements that they should have. There is cohesion between the compositions and the dark mellow feeling doesn’t change not even for a minute during the album. There aren’t any surprises nor any experimental tension, which might ruin the mood anyway.
\r\nThe digipack version will also contain two bonus tracks (“Ghost of The Past” and “No Hero”) and a live dvd. Plus, the cd contains a nice cover song for the cult hit song of the early 90’s “I Come Undone”, by Jennifer Rush. Enter the world of Elis… \r\n
