All posers and sleazers all around the globe gather round! As Hansel suggests in one of their songs ‘’All I Need Is Rock ‘N’ Roll’’ and that’s exactly what they smash in our faces! Dirty old hard/rock ‘n’ roll or maybe you like to call it glam metal, so what? The sleazier the better! Debut album and yet these boys seem to have some serious attitude and image and if that’s all it takes to be a true rock ‘n’ roller, well they simply got it! As for the influences? A bit of Poison and Great White along with a touch of Alice Cooper and here we are! I could easily call Hansel the Ausie answer to European bands like “Crash Diet” and “Hardcore Superstar” and I could say that they have their place among them. The lead singer Jett Jones, as I can see from the booklet picture, is one hell of a Rock ‘n’ roller, and I just hope it stays that way on stage too. As for the rest of the band I think that in their veins runs pure Jack Daniels instead of blood! The old Hollywood way! The compositions are simply mind blowing with a real party mood. I mean, if you’re feeling down and nothing can get you up, I bet my ass that this one acts as an adrenaline injection (only 100 times stronger!!). There are lots of melodic choruses that will leave you singing all along. Some of their songs could as well be radio hits if they were given the chance. Songs like “I Don’t Need Saving”, “Eruption” and “Rock City” are an energy overdose by themselves. If you’re about to throw a party or whatever, “Promised land” will do the trick. Well if you think that Australia has only AC/DC and Airbourne, you better think again. Hansel are here to stay! \r\n
