\r\nVOICES FROM THE SWAMP \r\n \r\nFinally we can say that here in Greece , the Death Metal scene , year after year becomes more interesting.Every year , new Death Metal bands pops out and in the present days there are a lot of Greeks that can shredd their music organs and their vocal chords in the name \r\nTheir first album is a 3 track EP called - That of the Swamp - and its a trip to the brutal side of the swamp.Fast , Brutal Death Metal with Grindcore breaks , perfect riffs , heavy and pounding bass and a drummer that is punishing his drumset with a lot of great Death Metal techinques and furious blast beats.The vocals are in a Brutal Death Metal mood and they are absolute amazing.Although the album is self released , the production is perfect and its done in the Unreal Studio(N.Smirni).The cover also of the album is a very nice artwork , done by the artist called Nexro , and it shows a creature coming from the swamp.The name of the band is a variation of the name of the Goddess of the butterflies(Ιtzpapalotl) , according to a Mexican legend. \r\n \r\n
\r\nI really like this band and i am pretty sure that they are able to suprise us in the near future with great albums.They have everything.The power , the speed , great riffs , great bass , amazing drumming and a really nice and rotten voice.-Ixpapalotl- are showing their teeth to the local scene with 3 songs that are going to be loved by every deathster out there. After listening to this EP you can understand that this band really loves Death Metal, Horror and Cult Movies ,they have big sense of humor and that they are for sure big Zombie fans. After checking the thanx to - list and saw that they include H.P.Lovecraft and John Carpenter i can really say that they are maybe my favorite Greek Death Metal band for the time!!The fact that the band is giving this Ep for free through the internet means a lot!!
