\r\nGerman Death Metal band - Lay Down Rotten - were formed back in 1999 as a solo project of mr.Daniel Jakobi.Soon he managed to change this solo-project to a band and till now they have already released two Demos and four full length albums.The last album -Reconquering the Pit -(2007) , was the first album that the band released through Metal Blade Records and they managed to spread their name worldwide and mainly in the U.S. Now , after two years these German Deathsters are back with their new work.\r\n

\r\nThe new album is called - Gospel of the Wretched - and its a fine quality sample of german Death Metal with many great melodic leads and a lot of atmosphere.The guitars are heavy , spreading fast and slow riffs as well and adding atmosphere with great leads and beautiful solos.The bass is heavy and its hitting your chest with the help of the great drumming that attacks with great double-bass power , blast beats but also many ideas in slower tempos. The voice of mr.Jakobi is totally brutal, very deep and powerful.He also made some back vocals that gives epic dimentions to the songs.The production is great and the whole album has a specific dark atmosphere that matches perfect with the deep heavy vocals.The cover and artwork is absolutely fantastic and it shows a team of wretched humans dragging a ship.\r\n
