The Project Hate MCMXCIX - Bleeding The New Apocalypse

The Project Hate MCMXCIX are back with their eighth release "Bleeding The New
\r\nApocalypse" through Season of Mist records. This band is a collective of musicians
\r\nlike Lord K (of Dark Funeral), Jorgen Sandstrom (of Grave, Krux) and this time on
\r\ndrums is Tobias Gustafsson (of Vomitory) and about vocals, another new addition took
\r\nplace this time in the face of Portuguese Ruby Roque (Witchbreed). Now that the
\r\nintroduction finished, let’s talk about the most important thing...Music!!

\r\nThe Project Hate MCMXCIX play a weird music that balances itself between misery,
\r\nhatred, paranoia, romance. We have a multiplex of different moods and musical ideas
\r\nas many metal subgenres can be found, through the 1+ hour this album lasts for. The
\r\nmusicians participating in Project hate’s art are well known for the great works
\r\nthey’ve given in the past through bands like Dark Funeral, Grave etc, so we cannot
\r\nexpect a bad situation here. They play an industrial, progressive death metal that
\r\nsounds weird in the first place. I admit that it took me several shots to make a
\r\nstadard opinion for this review. This is a pretty difficult band to listen to. It
\r\ndemands some energy to give so you can take in your mind what these guys have to
\r\noffer. The only thing that i’m sure of, is about the production of the album that is
\r\ngreat. Every instrument is well placed in the space and you can listen to everything
\r\nloud and clear. Generaly I have nothing to say about the musicianship of this band
\r\nas in situations like this, the experience of the musicians we have, can easier
\r\nguarantee the best result but.....Ruby’s voice is not the suitable one. I don’t say
\r\nshe is a bad singer. No, she is a good singer but in THIS type of music i listened
\r\nto, her voice did not bring the summary i wanted. i prefered Jonna’s voice, which
\r\nwas softer than Ruby’s and it’s a great antithesis to listen to some blasphemous
\r\nwords from an almost ethereal voice.

\r\nPut this record in your player, listen to it several times so you can catch what The
\r\nProject Hate MCMXCIX wanted to say to the world. Music, not for the impatient ones.
\r\nMusic for those who can concentrate second by second on this. One hour of
\r\nconcentration and you are already in hell. It is not one of the intellectual
\r\nmasterpieces we want to listen to but i admit that it is intense and multicoloured.
