Styggelse - Heir Today – God Tomorrow

\r\nWith such a cover you can definately know what to expect. Black metal, nothing more nothing less. But what’s good with these fellas is that they’re a bit different. And as the inlay quote says: Fuck the unfucked!

\r\n To begin with, the sound alone is enough to travel you some years back. These guys are pure underground breed. Dungeon production, black and white photos and layout, Venom-Bathory perfumes steaming from the speakers and a 100% rotten feeling. Styggelse are also full of attitude. You can tell by listening to "Ready To Burn" or "Finish The Trilogy". The Swedes manage to unleash hell and darkness in 32 minutes time. They are not the looong riffing type, nore the 300bpm blastbeat lovers. They love the motorheadarkthrone vibes that roll, crush(crust is an influence too) and grooves to death. They are drunks and damn proud of it! This tsunami of blasphemous music is called Styggelse(abomination in swedish) and dwells in the sewers exclusively.

\r\n Fans of Dimmu Borgir and Keep Of Kallesin will find probably find little to love here. Dirty guitars and chokehold vocals only. Darkness and fury. And believe me, I’m being as poetic as I can be on this one. I may sound all graphic but a single listen is enough to convince you. Those of you reading this review that love dungeon music will surely find your treat with "Heir Today God Tomorrow". The rest of you have already been warned.\r\n
