WINTERBORN - Farewell To Saints

WINTERBORN - Farewell To Saints

\r\nThere are not many things that someone could write about such bands\r\nlike these Finnish heavy-power metallers. This is the second effort of\r\nthe band, and it seems quite impressing like its predecessor Cold\r\nReality debut. After a few line-up changes and an European tour\r\nsupporting Doro the sextet returns with this new record.
\r\n
\r\nThe album\r\nis full of raw, pure metal energy. It contains songs that are honest\r\nand truthful and vary from straight forward stormy sing along anthems\r\nto more mid tempo hard n heavy rhythm tracks. Winerborn manage to\r\nembody even a few progressive elements to their sound combined with\r\ninteresting odd time dialogues between the guitars and the keyboards.\r\nYou can even hear more melodic, ballad-like songs where the acoustic\r\nguitars raise the atmosphere to new levels that imply to me the\r\ninfluence of the hard rock legends Scorpions. It’s also worth to make a\r\ncitation for the vocal abilities and the whole performance of Teemu\r\nKoskela, whose voice I think is the main element of their sound and the\r\nkey that can distinct them as a band from the rest.
\r\n
\r\nAs I mentioned\r\nabove there are not many to be said about Winterborns’ new creation.\r\nThe fans of the particular genre I’m sure will embrace and love it\r\nsince it tributes all the oldies but goodies that were released at past\r\ntimes, but it still keeps the freshness of a contemporary recorded\r\nalbum. We surely expect to see many good efforts by them in the future!\r\n
