Heritage - Herencia On The Road

\r\nThe greek heavy rock scene seems to unstoppably breed new children. One of them is Heritage, who come from Arta, Western Greece, and whose first official album “Herencia On The Road” is a fine example of heavy/stoner rock that lacks nothing from albums by bigger and more experienced bands. Actually, the first thing that will come to the listener’s aware is that Heritage, despite their relatively young age, have been working on their stuff, forging their sound through many rehearsals and mainly many gigs, that happen to be their strong point, with the success being that they managed to pass their great live attitude in the studio.

\r\nThrough the 9 songs of the album, the 3 of them appearing also in the “One More Beer For The Road” demo, Heritage buy us some beers and call us to ride the stallions of steel down the highway. Their songs are well written, direct and true, full of real street attitude and above all authentic. My personal favorite is “Lonely Cowboy”, a song with a dreamy melody, driven by the harmonica, while "One More Beer For The Road" has probably been declared as their trademark song. Heritage have an absolute sense of what they do and someone will sense that upon listening to “Herencia On The Road”. Friends of heavy rock/stoner scene will definitely have to check out this album and also some live gig by these guys and they are surely not to regret it.
