Tsorer - Return to Sodom

Tsorer - Return to Sodom

\r\nTsorer are from Israel and they play old school, raw black metal. They were formed in 2006 and
\r\nthis is their first album entitled "Return To Sodom".
\r\n
\r\nIsrael is a debatable country for many reasons and a country with no good quality bands
\r\nin the underground scene. Now that Tsorer entered the game, this will change. Their music
\r\nreminded me of the old Darkthrone age, with some atmospheric bits. You can listen to a
\r\nraw attack in the beggining of the album with old school riffing and tempo changes like the
\r\nfast "Sodom" track. There are also tracks like "Gifts" and "Old", where the band shows their
\r\natmospheric influences and ideas and tracks like "Again" with more modern punches mixed
\r\nwith the old sickness. Generally the music is well written with some good ideas and fresh
\r\nmood.
\r\n
\r\nProduction is very good. Classic sound on guitars and bass along with chaotic sound on
\r\ndrums. Crystal clear production on vocals too, reminded me of Maniac in Mayhem’s Grand
\r\nDeclaration Of War album. A mixture of old techniques, furious riffing and great ideas in
\r\nthe atmospheric parts, are bound together in a unique way making "Return To Sodom" a
\r\nvery good suggestion for all black metal fans.\r\n
