WINTER 'S VERGE - Tales of Tragedy

Winter’s Verge seem to be pretty lucky during the last months. At the end of 2009 they signed with Massacre Records, a few days later they joined STRATOVARIUS on POLARIS European tour and just after the end of it, “TALES OF TRAGEDY” saw the light of day.
\r\nIt is the next chapter of the band’s history after “ETERNAL DAMNATION”, and it’s under the guidance of R.D. Liapakis. The compositions are pompous, with clean playing on the guitars, solid rhythm section, simple and straight structure. Basically these elements along with the vocal lines play the most important role in the songs, which are Epic Power Metal oriented, with some clear and pure Power Metal spots.
\r\nThe truth is, this musical gerne is nothing new. So, it’s difficult for a band to make a difference. However, fans of Europower Metal and Epic Power Metal will find many nice elements in this album, plus, those who have listened to the previous album will surely notice the band’s progress in this one.
