Metalzone.gr: Tell us a few words about your new album
\r\nErik-Manegarm: Nattväsen is our 6th full-length album and I hold Nattväsen as our best album so far. Maybe that is what all bands say about their newest album but I really think that we got all things together this time. Nattväsen is darker oriented then our previous releases in many ways. It is more straight forward and we have added a big dose of darkness as well as powerful riffs with classic metal heaviness. Nattväsen includes 9 epic tracks and I think the strength with the album is that it has no weak spots; all songs have something special to offer the listener.

\r\nMetalzone.gr: Inform us about the production and the lyrics of the album
\r\nErik-Manegarm: The production is absolutely great if you ask me. We recorded the album at Studio Underground and Pelle Säther (owner & producer) did an amazing job. On this album we worked a lot more on the arrangements in every song and we also had the time to sit down in the studio and go through every recorded song just to see if there was something missing or something that we could get rid of.
\r\nThe lyrics on this album are about the night and the creatures that dwell within the night; the frightening creatures that you’ll meet in your sleep and in your fantasies... People have in all times had a curious mind but also some sorts of respect and fear for those “abstract things” that we can’t explain and don’t fully understand.

\r\nMetalzone.gr: What means the title of the album -Nattvasem-?
\r\nErik-Manegarm: The title of the album is “Nattväsen” and it means Night creatures.
\r\n
\r\nMetalzone.gr: Share with us some info about your new contract with Regain Records
\r\nErik-Manegarm:  Our collaboration is quite new, about a year, and our 1st album on Regain is just released so I can’t tell you that much yet. Regain Records seems to be a good and serious label with many good bands. Hopefully this collaboration will contribute in making Manegarm an even better and more popular metal band.

\r\nMetalzone.gr: Tell us a few words about the cover artwork and the artist
\r\nErik-Manegarm:  The cover is made by Erik-Manegarm, Jonas and me. We had other ideas for the cover at first and we tried out one or two artists but they didn’t get it right…Finally we sat down one evening and did it ourselves. Erik-Manegarm came up with an idea and then we just took it from there. The symbol on the cover is made by Pierre and is a combined rune made of the two runes Madr and Gifu. What you see in the background is a part of a picture that we have used on every album and originally it’s a medallion.

\r\nMetalzone.gr: What are your plans about touring? Are you coming in Greece?
\r\nErik-Manegarm: We have no tour booked right now but we are working on some contacts. Hopefully we’ll come to Greece some day, it would be really cool!!

\r\nMetalzone.gr: What have you heard about the Greek metal scene?
\r\nErik-Manegarm: I’m not into the metal scene in Greece at all to be honest…

\r\nMetalzone.gr: What are your future plans?
\r\nErik-Manegarm: We hope that we can put together a good tour for “Nattväsen” and we also hope for some good festivals this summer.
