MIKE TERRANA

\r\nOn the event of tonight’s show with Tarja Turunen, www.metalzone.gr did an interview to infamous drummer Mike Terrana who is touring with the singer.
\r\n
\r\nMike explained – uncut - all the reasons for leaving RAGE.\r\nAs he explains he found himself in a situation it was no longer\r\ncreative or good to be in. It seems like his opinion was never heard in\r\nthe band and he was told his solos were tiring to the audience. He\r\nfeels that he was part of a band which made albums he didn’t want to\r\nlisten to himself and so he decided to be sincere about it and leave.\r\nAs he says the band is struggling to make it but the result isn’t good.\r\n

\r\nHe explains how Masterplan are a much more creative band for him, and how Tarja is\r\nthe best thing he’s done in years. He enjoys the way all instruments\r\nare put together and her voice floats over it. It seems that there’s a\r\nstrong chance he will be in the permanent line up of the band, and also\r\nhe will be participating in the next album and tour of Masterplan.

\r\nAs far as his clinic lesson are concerned Mike explains\r\nhow he doesn’t want to tell people how to do things just give food for\r\nthought as to how he elaborate on ideas and evolve as an artist. He\r\nlistens to diverse stuff and says when he plays the same genre for long\r\nhe gets rusty. So he feels what suits him best is to play diverse\r\nstyles.

\r\nHe gives his advice to new young drummers and does some tricks with his sticks for the camera.
