BLACKENED WIND @ Lost Dogs Thessaloniki

\r\nIt is very important to support local bands, but most important is, when these bands are having a different musical approach. A typical example are Livas and Blackened Wind. Young aged people, full of of creativity  . But let’s take it from the beginning.
\r\n
\r\nThe Lost Dogs place is small but it was full of young people between 17 and 25 years old. It is important that friends, relatives and familiars were there to support their friends. Such bands need any kind of encouragement and many live concerts to gain experience. Most of the audience was there from  22:30, which was the official "doors open at" time, and since the place was full the show began with Livas on stage.
\r\n
\r\nThe Livas band, is a heavy metal cover band with female vocals, but also they are composing their first songs. What I really liked was that they feared not and took the risk to cover songs such as "For whom the bell tolls", the "Hallowed by thy name", the "Rebelion" and many others lengendary tunes. Katerina’s voice is very good, she sang great without trying to imitate, which is impossible unless you’re a good mimic. What she did, was to color the songs with the color of her voice, and proved ta she is a good singer despite her age. Also Christos and Mitsos are good guitarrists. Bravo for Livas and thumbs up.\r\n

\r\nAfter Livas, it was the time for Blackened Wind to come onstage. The Blackened Wind are heavy - power (German power) influenced with female vocals, where the male vocals complete. This time we listened to their compositions and some covers. First we listened to the recorded "Dark Mystery" overture reminded me epic Manowar tunes. After the recorded overture, the band did their best, proving that they had a lot of rehearsal session before the show. Vocalist Anna that she is a good singer, singing corectly both the band’s compositions and covered songs, "Down to the devil", and "I want out" are sang by Tobias Sammet and Michael Kiske, which are known for their high pithced voices. Also, Vasilis and Petros on guitars were great, proving to us that they are good guitarists, and not only good composers. Well done and thumbs up for them also and wish thme the best.\r\n
