FLOTSAM AND JETSAM’S ERIC A.K. ATTENDS JUDAS PRIEST, QUEENSRŸCHE SHOW; POSTS REVIEW

Flotsam And Jetsam vocalist Eric A.K. attended the Judas Priest, Queensrÿche show at the Arizona Federal Theater in Phoenix, AZ last night and has posted his thoughts on the concert.

Eric says:
“Went to Judas Priest, and Queensrÿche last night. Let me start by saying Queensrÿche is and always have been an amazing band. Live and in the studio, they deserve more attention and love than they get.

Todd La Torre kicked ass to match the rest of the mass of talent on stage. Michael [Wilton], Eddie [Jackson], shit they all just crush. The Judas Priest show was no surprise. Every time I have seen them live, they have crushed. The newer guitar players did a fantastic job stepping in big shoes, Ian still looks and plays like he just loves what he does, Scott Travis has not slowed or lost any drive over the years.

And then there is Rob Halford…For a man who has battled serious health problems in the past, and is now 70 years old...70 ...years old, I am in awe. If I can be half of the entertainer he is, or half the singer he is at 70, I will consider myself extremely lucky.

Glen [Tipton] came out to play a couple encore songs, it gave the entire night a feeling that you were watching members of the Royal Guard of Metal, show us all how it’s done.”

Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton, who was forced to step back from intensive touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2018, rejoined the band onstage on Friday night (March 12) at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California. Glenn joined the band for their encore - "Metal Gods", "Breaking The Law", and "Living After Midnight". Fan-filmed video can be found below.
