\r\nΤhe whole "greek band-big label contract" thing is an odd story. I will not disagree that being under the roof of disco-label with balls of steel is a big thing...and of course I’m always happy to see greek bands signed and getting promoted from serious people. From that point on we also have the music part too.

\r\n So, when I’m given the task to write down my opinion about a music band’s work I cannot but be honest, to myself above all. In the case of Insidead I spent hours and hours listening to Elecdead over and over again in order to hold on to something. But in vein. These guys play a mixture of metalcore/thrashcore even though this style is a bit outdated for some years now. Not that it matters. So, imagine the bastard child of Shadows Fall and Trivium with bits and pieces of Metallice influences and there you have it. Strong breakdowns, heavy guitars and melodic choruses, the american way. Appart from the "being played a million times before" of the matter(the songs structures are much alike between them) I will focus on what I believe to be the biggest problem. The genre is demanding and all the bands mentioned above have one strong thing in common: a good singer. Unfortunately this does not apply for Insidead and this becomes even more obvious on the melodic parts.

\r\n Living that aside, "Chaos Elecdead" rolls without any surprises or turnarounds. At least the guitar work is well performed(although not as innovative) and the drumming is steady as a rock. The good production and beautiful artwork complete an uneven package, set to confuse. The guys in Insidead have the abilities to offer great things but need to work on details such as the vocal part and their composition skills. I don’t to be a bitch about it, I just expect too much from a scene that can eventually deliver..\r\n
