Lord Vicar - Fear No Pain
This particular album has been released some months ago, but only now I had the chance to get a copy, but I consider that this one must be reviewed on metalzone.gr for two reasons, fisrt of all, there must be many people out there that really wants a review and the second that the album “needs” to be reviewed due to it’s significance.
\r\nSo, Lord Vicar have return with a full length release, after their promising 7 ich release some time ago. The lineup of the band combines the glorious past of doom metal with the nowadays and future of it since on this CD appears the Viking Of Doom metal, mr Christian Lindersson AKA Lord Chritus known from his contribution on Count Raven and Saint Vitus, plus his later band Terra Firma. On the guitar we meet mr Kimi Karki AKA Peter Inverted known from his long running service on Reverend Bizarre and the progsters Orne.
\r\nJust like on the 7” Lord Vicar, provide us with seven tracks of solid, down tempo, pure Doom Metal with the characteristic vocals of Lord Chritus and the classic riffing of Peter Inverted all tightened up with the solid rhythm section of Jussi Myllykoski and Gareth Millsted. In This one you wont find some polished production or easy listening groovy tracks, you ll just discover the uniqueness of pure doom metal through the macabre vibes and sounds of the previous stated gentlemen. I d like to state that as a Greek, I feel happy to see and listening to a track that is deeply inspired by the Ancient Greek history, the track “Spartan”.
\r\nThis album is recommended to all of those had ” torture” their ears to the obsure sound of pure doom metal.
