\r\nShadowkeep. The band that showed up in our musical horizons like a comet a few years ago and caused many “explosions” while joining almost immediately the list with the most beloved groups, merely because they were different. It was the total of this band that made them differ from others. Even though they still remain in the underground circles, I think that they wrongly belong to the obscured metal bands, perhaps due to the wrong conditions, maybe due to the bad promotion. I do not know for sure, yet in any case these guys represent this kind of music in the best possible way.
\r\nShadowkeep returned with new material, after a long time waiting (at least for me). They would always bring to my mind Queensryche of their very first years, with many progressive spots and powerful/heavy riffs as basic characteristics of their musical identity. What ‘s their musical profile today? Modern Power Metal, with nice compositions, heavy riffs, powerful rhythm section, Tate-like vocals, thunderous solos. .like I said before, I think that considering the musical genre that they represent, they can definetely satisfy the fans of this scene worldwide. Looking from distance into the past and their influences, they are tranferred in the present, away from non-constructive “pastology”, with a modern sound and compositions that either one by one or as a total they can easily “win” other, more popular Power metal bands. It’s sad, really sad for such a band to not be that poplular when, for me the least, its name is one with the word quality. \r\n
