Arkona - Ot Serdca K Nebu

Arkona is a Russia based outfit of Napalm Records, and can you guess their musical style? Pagan / Folk Metal of course!!!. I wonder how can someone define folk metal? Just putting a couple of multiple vocal lines, and a bunch of folk instruments? Anyway back to the album.
\r\nSo Arkona put some clever melodies on this album, some really very good parts in their music, multiple vocal lines during their choruses, memorable I dare to say, and some good use of folklore instruments, a little bit boring but good in general. The band is female fronted and the lyrics are in Russian language, In general is a nice piece of music and it would be even nicer, the reason is that everyday a folk group is formed so the whole genre turns to be so boring.
\r\n"Ot serdca k nebu" is another of these boring albums, and I only recommend this one only  to the die hard fans of the scene. The Whole album sounds like down tempo nightwish with some blast beats (???) break outs, also some Dead Can Dance inspired parts.
