\r\nGermans Nektra seem to be a little bit tangled with their influences and their hearings in general. Packetize (d) is their new album with what they try to put in order everything that they were listening to all those years, but unfortunately the result isn’t all that positive. Their music cannot be tagged in one specific form since there are influences from many and different styles and beyond this, it doesn’t even have something personnel that will make the band to be distinguished. Packetize (d) is a very mediocre album which contains only some good moments and nothing more. Thrash influences are everywhere, as well as some Heavy Metal elements, plus you can also hear many Nu Metal passages and more general there is a very modern mentality that personally didn’t thrill me. The vocals are quite good and when they are in some catchy choruses the result is somehow good but there is no need of an enthusiasm. Generally the band seems capable to create beautiful songs but unfortunately somewhere it loses its course and most of them remain unfinished. The production is decent but this fact alone can’t help in anything. I hope next time the band will have found its identity and they will deliver something better. As for now there aren’t many things that we can gain from these Germans …\r\n
